Description
Fabulous food, fine wines and fabulous curves from the coast to the mountains. Countless side roads wind through idyllic olive groves, cypress avenues and vineyards. This is one of the things Tuscany is famous for. And because autumn is the most beautiful season for motorbike tours to this breathtaking region in the heart of Italy, our new autumn tour takes us there.
This tour is designed as a round trip, we spend the first and the last night in the same hotel. The tour start location is not far from Florence in north-western Tuscany. If you want to travel by car and trailer, you can safely park your vehicle on site. To make the tour a little more comfortable, we stay in each hotel for two nights, so we don't have to repack every day. Highlights such as Pisa, Siena and of course Florence will inspire us before we can dip our feet in the sea on Elba.
Tour dates:
From-to tour start location in Tuscany approx. 1,300 km. The route is partly demanding with medium to medium-high difficulty. Including motorway and city crossings, roads of different quality levels, some with inadequacies, cobblestones, as well as several mountain crossings with numerous bends and serpentines.
Our exclusive travel programme
Day 1: Travel to the tour start location in Tuscany
In the afternoon, independent arrival at the tour start location. Meeting point for all participants and the first hotel night is in the Lucca/Pistoia area west of Florence. At the first dinner you will get to know the team and all other participants. In a cosy atmosphere, the "welcome meeting" will take place, where the details of the trip will be discussed and all questions will be clarified. Overnight stay in the Lucca/Pistoia area for 2 nights.
TIP 1 to the journey: Those who wish to come to the start of the tour with a car and motorbike trailer can park the vehicle combination on site during the tour. (extra charge).
TIP 2 for the journey: Those who cannot or do not want to bring their luggage to the starting point on the motorbike can collect it from their home using the luggage service and have it sent to the office, we will then bring it to the tour start location. At the end of the tour it will be sent back again. (extra charge).
Day 2: Round of the day "North-West Tuscany

The first day of the trip begins with a real thriller: the Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Whether the architect planned it that way is something else. On the way there, we are thrilled by the first Tuscan side roads, with lots of bends. The old town of Lucca will also impress us during our short stroll through the city. Second night in the Lucca/Pistoia area.
Day 3: Off to Florence
220 km
After all the luggage is stowed in the support vehicle, we set off in the direction of Florence. Actually, it would only be about 50 km, but when riding a motorbike the following applies in particular: The way is the goal. And that's why we make a few winding detours and reach the capital of Tuscany in the afternoon. Stay in Florence for 2 nights.
Day 4: Florence City Tour
We leave our motorbikes today and look forward to a day in what is probably one of the most beautiful and impressive cities in the world. With a local guide, we walk through the city where the masterpieces of the Renaissance are closer together than anywhere else. Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Michelangelo, they all contributed to the fame and splendour of what was once one of the richest cities in the world. Second night in Florence.
Day 5: Florence - Chianti region
220 km
Ja, yesaa the Chianti wine, it invites us all.
But not until the evening, after another great day of driving, today through eastern and central Tuscany. Of course, we will also make one or two short "cultural stops", we want to see a bit of the country and its people. Of course we also want to taste something while we are there. We will do that around dinner. Again, we stay two nights in the same hotel.
Day 6: Daily round "Central Tuscany
240 km
Central Tuscany has a lot to offer: Great roads and great sights. We will enjoy both and have another wonderful motorbike day. The highlight of the day will be the walk through the medieval old town of Siena to the Piazza del Campo. If you like, you can climb the more than 400 steps of the town hall tower and be rewarded with a fabulous view. Second night in the Chianti region.
Day 7: Chianti - Elba Island
250 km
Napoleon's former residence lies barely 10 km from the Tuscan mainland and surprises with an immense variety of landscapes. Countless bays, winding roads and an impressive landscape of holey volcanic rock and high mountains await us. But before we take the ferry to the island in the afternoon, we explore part of the Maremma, the south of Tuscany.
Day 8: Elba Island

A leisurely day of enjoyment awaits us. Depending on the weather, mood and desire, we have several options for this day:
Leave the motorbikes and enjoy the day by the sea.
Or take a little spin and enjoy the afternoon by the sea.
Or take a big spin across the island and enjoy the evening by the sea.
Whatever we decide, the main thing is to enjoy this day on Elba, the charm of this enchanting island in the Tuscan archipelago will never leave our memories. Second night on Elba.
Day 9: Elba - Lucca/Pistoia area
200 km
Our last day of travel begins with the ferry crossing back to the mainland. Before we reach the starting point of our Tuscany round trip again, we are enchanted by the great streets and the walk through Volterra. During the joint farewell evening back at our starting hotel, we can review the "experienced" experiences once again.
Day 10: Individual journey home
Unfortunately, today we have to say goodbye for good. With many beautiful memories in our luggage, we make our way home from Tuscany. End of the tour.
TIP for the journey home: If there is not enough room on the motorbike for the luggage due to the many souvenirs and bottles of wine, we will be happy to transport it to the hotel by means of a geWe can also send the luggage to your home (surcharge).

Conditions of travel

Minimum number of participants: 12 people. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour up to three weeks before the start of the tour.
The date 21TOS01 is a "maiden voyage", i.e. the tour was started with this date.
The itinerary has not yet been driven in this way. Short-term changes in the tour itinerary and route changes with more or less daily kilometres are possible and do not constitute a defect or reason for trip reduction.
