Description

It doesn't always have to be the North Cape... Even the south of Norway offers all facets of the country: Barren plateaus, steep fjords, but also apple and cherry orchards. We have packed everything into this trip that makes a motorbike tour through southern Norway something very special.

The round trip Kiel - Oslo - Kiel is on the luxury ferries of Colorline and includes overnight accommodation in comfortable inside cabins, as well as a more than ample breakfast and evening buffet. And yet the real highlight of the trip is the spectacular landscape of southern Norway. Fjords, glaciers, waterfalls, roads like a motorcyclist's dream.
Every motorcyclist should have been here - at least - once!

Tour dates:
From/to Oslo approx. 2,285 km, medium-high difficulty with many mountain crossings incl. serpentines, city trips and motorway stages. Short paved sections without asphalt possible. Not suitable for beginners or riders with little experience in high alpine terrain.

After breakfast, you will leisurely make your way to the ferry. Before 12 noon you will reach the port of Kiel and board the ferry to Oslo, which will depart at 2 pm for the "mini-cruise". Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast on board the ferry Kiel - Oslo.

Day 3: Oslo - Storefjell

235 km

The ride through the Oslo Fjord is already the first highlight of the trip. Around 10 am, the ferry reaches Oslo and your destination: Norway. Your motorbike guide will take you to today's destination, the winter ski resort of Storefjell, mostly on secondary roads with little traffic.

Day 4: Storefjell - Geiranger

290 km

Who hasn't heard of the spectacular Geiranger Fjord? The town at the end of the world-famous fjord is today's destination. The way there will inspire you no less! Overnight stay in Geiranger.

Day 5: Geiranger - Geilo

390 km

Today we get up early, because the ferry departs at 8 a.m. for the trip across what is supposed to be Norway's most beautiful fjord. An experience you will never forget! Afterwards you turn south again and enjoy the great roads in southern Norway and another shorter ferry crossing. The overnight stop in Geilo is one of the most famous ski resorts in the country.

Day 6: Geilo - Norheimsund

220 km

The next day is full of highlights: The largest plateau in Europe is on the agenda! Then a tunnel that lets you drive a circle in the mountain and many kilometres of curves. And two ferry crossings. Overnight stay in Norheimsund.

Day 7: Norheimsund - Sandnes

325 km

Another impressive day of driving awaits you. On the 4 ferry crossings you will always have time to enjoy the spectacular landscapes. The overnight stop at Sandnes is about 15 km south of Norway's fourth largest city, Stavanger.

Day 8: Sandnes - Kristiansand

350 km

The southernmost overnight stop of the tour is on the programme, in a mix of mountains and fjords through the hinterland you reach the harbour town of Kristiansand in the afternoon.

Day 9: Kristiansand - Tønsberg

350 km

Once again we get up early, because there is a lot to see! Tønsberg is Norway's oldest town, founded in 871. But before you reach your last overnight stop in Norway, there are still plenty of fjords, curves and impressions to "experience".

On the way to the ferry port of Oslo, you will take in the last impressions of southern Norway, and at 2 pm your ferry will set off for the starting point of your journey. Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast on board the ferry Oslo - Kiel.

A frank word among bikers

On guided motorbike tours with your own motorbike, riders and passengers from different countries of origin and with different motorbikes meet for a joint trip. As different as the participants are, as different will usually be the motorbikes, which makes for a fun and interesting trip. As with all group activities, a certain team spirit and adaptation of the individual to the group is necessary on these trips so that everyone can enjoy the trip and their motorbike holiday.
