Description
This tour shows the great climatic and geographical differences in Peru. In a single day, we travel from the coast to the jungle, crossing the Ticlio Pass at an altitude of 4,818 metres along the way. On this trip we cross all three of Peru's different landscapes: coast, mountains and jungle.
Experience on gravel roads required.
Route
Approx. 1,000 km, of which 75 % asphalt and 25 % off-road

Day 1 Friday: Arrival
Arrival at the international airport "Jorge Chavez" in Lima. Hotel transfer to our hotel in the Miraflores district.
Day 2 Saturday: La Merced
The tour starts with a stage that is only possible in Peru: from the coast, we cross the Andes 4,800 metres above sea level into the high jungle. We leave the hustle and bustle of Lima and take the Carretera Central over the Ticlio Pass to the flower town of Tarma, our destination for the first day: La Merced.
Day 3 Sunday: Oxapampa
Now it's time for adventure. We approach Oxapampa on endless gravel tracks with a few stream crossings. Here you quickly notice the influence of the German and Austrian immigrants.
Day 4 Monday: Pozuzo
Through the unique vegetation of this region, we tackle a stage that is hard to beat in terms of impressions.
Day 5 Tuesday: Pozuzu
Small excursions in the surroundings of Pozuzo are on the programme.
Day 6 Wednesday: Oxapampa
Return journey to Oxapampa.
Day 7 Thursday: La Merced
An exciting return journey to La Merced awaits us. On gravel, we pass beautiful jungle scenery.
Day 8 Friday: La Merced
A visit to the indigenous people of the jungle is on the programme. Afterwards, we treat ourselves to a swim under one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area.
Day 9 Saturday: Lima
A wonderful stage that we already enjoyed on the outward journey. Lots of bends and ascents and descents over the Ticlio with its 4,818 metres of altitude. Arrival in Miraflores in the evening.
Day 10 Saturday: Return flight
Transfer to the airport and farewell. Flight home.
Day 11 Sunday: Arrival in Europe
Arrival at your departure airport. End of the journey.
