Description
The Adriatic Sea and the Kornati National Park are the destination of our journey.
The journey there takes you along some of the most beautiful gravel roads in southern Europe! Mountains, forests, gravel and sea - a great mix!
The starting point of this tour is near Graz in southern Austria, easy to reach and not far from the border with Slovenia. From there we start our journey southwards and enjoy 5 days travelling along deep green forests and fertile valleys, seeing mighty peaks, crystal-clear lakes, the mysterious karst world and - of course - the Croatian Adriatic! On the rest day by the sea, we enjoy the charm of Dalmatia and, if desired, the enchanting island world of the Kornati islands.
The end of the journey is then back in Graz, particularly convenient: the luggage is transported from hotel to hotel and is already there on arrival at the hotel.
Tour dates:
From/to Graz approx. 1,450 km. Of which approx. 65 % paved and approx. 35 % unpaved roads. Difficulty level: easy to moderately difficult, only suitable to a limited extent for enduro beginners with little experience.
Tour Characteristics:
The tour is suitable for all those riders who have good control of their touring Enduro on narrow and steep mountain roads and have already gained some experience on gravel roads. Touring enduro bikes of all sizes are welcome on this tour. The use of at least all-round tyres suitable for road and off-road use is a prerequisite, especially in wet conditions, more off-road-oriented tyres are an enormous advantage.
We recommend the new 50/50 on/off-road tyre Dunlop Trailmax RAID for this trip. This trip is not suitable for road motorbikes and enduro bikes with asphalt-only tyres!

Our exclusive travel programme
Day 1: Graz (Ö) - South-East Slovenia
260 km
Meeting at the agreed starting point near Graz. After getting to know each other briefly, we set off on our journey together. In Austria we stay on tarmac, but shortly after the border with Slovenia we switch to gravel for the first time. In the afternoon, we pass the highest chimney in Europe before reaching our overnight destination in south-east Slovenia.
80 % tarmac road - 20 % non-tarmac road
Day 2: South-east Slovenia - Velebit (CRO)
210 km
We leave Slovenia and meet the TET in the Croatian hinterland and later also the ACT, both of which we will follow briefly. The fascinating landscape of the Velebit Mountains with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and the islands of Kvarner Bay sweeten our journey to the north-eastern Velebit region, where we spend the night today.
65 % paved road - 45 % unpaved road
Day 3: Velebit - Biograd na Moru
260 km
We continue southwards. We meet up with TET and ACT again and cross the Velebit on a mix of winding, small and little-used tarmac roads and great gravel roads until we reach the Adriatic Sea. Our overnight stop is the charming coastal town of Biograd na Moru, where we set up camp for two nights.
70 % paved road - 30 % unpaved road
Day 4: Sightseeing - Day Kornati Islands
0 km
Today we take it easy, relax a little and immerse ourselves in the maritime flair of Dalmatia. If the weather is favourable, we will take a boat trip to the famous Kornati National Park with its 89 islands (extra charge). Crystal-clear sea, picturesque islets and the rich underwater world will enchant us. If the weather does not permit a boat trip, there is also the option of taking a short tour with your local guide and/or making a short visit to the old town in nearby Zadar. Second night on the Adriatic in Biograd na Moru.
Day 5: Biograd - Selce
250 km
We make our way back north again. Via selected, great gravel roads by the sea and in the hinterland and some of the most beautiful stretches of the Croatian coastal road, we arrive in the Selce area, where we will spend the night.
75 % paved road - 25 % unpaved road
Day 6: Selce - Lubljana (SLO)
220 km
The day with the highest proportion of gravel awaits us. We say goodbye to the Adriatic and climb the mountains of Croatia and Slovenia again. Through breathtaking nature and majestic forests and past clear mountain lakes, our last overnight stop together awaits us: Slovenia's capital Ljubljana is always worth a visit!
40 % paved road - 60 % unpaved road
Day 7: Lubljana - Graz (Ö)
250 km
The last day of driving is a real challenge and once again showcases the beauty and diversity of the Slovenian landscape and its roads. Small, winding tarmac paths, great gravel roads and well-developed mountain passes take us back to the Austrian border. An exciting mix to round off a great tour "To the Adriatic"! In the late afternoon, we reach the starting point of the trip again, where we spend our last evening together and can look back on our "experienced" adventures in a cosy atmosphere.
70 % paved road - 30 % unpaved road
Day 8: Journey home
Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye today. With many wonderful memories in our luggage, we make our way home again.
End of the tour.

A frank word among bikers
On guided motorbike tours with your own motorbike, riders and passengers from different countries of origin and with different motorbikes meet for a joint trip. As different as the participants are, as different will usually be the motorbikes, which makes for a fun and interesting trip. As with all group activities, a certain team spirit and adaptation of the individual to the group is necessary on these trips so that everyone can enjoy the trip and their motorbike holiday.
As with all group activities, a certain team spirit and a certain adaptation of the individual to the group is necessary for these tours. If you let yourself go, you will certainly "experience" a great tour, meet new friends and have a lot of fun, because the shared experience of driving dynamics and the magic of curves in a charming landscape unites people. And on this trip, the focus is on motorcycling in the unique and sensational landscape.
